How to Draw an Ice Cream Truck (Easy Step by Step)
An ice cream truck is a happy thing to draw because it looks like a little house on wheels with a giant treat on the roof. You can build the whole thing from rectangles, circles, and one bumpy cloud shape. Each step adds one part, so it never feels like too much.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Truck body outline
Draw one big outline for the truck: a tall rounded box on the left, a slanted line going down for the windshield, and a lower, shorter hood on the right. Draw a half circle cut into the bottom near the back for the first wheel opening.
Step 3: Door and window
Draw a tall straight line down from the roof to make the edge of the door. Add a small window at the top of the cab, shaped like a little triangle with one slanted side.
Step 4: Serving window
On the back of the truck, draw a wide rectangle with softly rounded corners. This is where the ice cream gets handed out.
Step 5: The awning
Above the serving window, draw a wide flat shape like a squashed trapezoid. Make the bottom edge wiggly like little scallops.
Step 6: Tires and front arch
Draw two circles for the tires, one tucked into the back wheel opening and one under the front of the truck. Then draw a curved arch over the front tire to match the back one.
Step 7: Wheel hubs
Draw a small circle in the middle of each tire for the center of the wheel.
Step 8: Lights
Draw a small circle on the front of the truck for the headlight. Draw another, smaller circle near the back edge for the back light.
Step 9: Ice cream on top
On the roof, draw a skinny upside-down triangle for the cone, with its point touching the roof. Then draw a bumpy cloud shape on top of the cone for the scoop.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing an ice cream truck
- Draw the big outline first and keep the bottom edge fairly flat. Leave a half circle cut out at the back and room at the front for the wheels.
- The awning is the trickiest part. Draw the flat trapezoid first, then go back and add the wiggly scallops along the bottom edge one bump at a time.
- Draw the front wheel arch as a curve that hugs the top of the tire, so it matches the arch at the back.
