Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The big wheel
Draw a big circle on the left with a bumpy, wavy edge, like a puffy cloud. This is the fat tire that makes the buggy look bouncy.
Step 3: Top and bottom of body
Start at the right side of the big wheel and draw a long, gently curved line going right, ending in a little curl for the nose. Then draw a straight flat line along the bottom, starting at the big wheel and stopping before the nose.
Step 4: The front wheel
Near the right end of the body, draw a smaller bumpy circle in two curved pieces, leaving a small gap at the bottom. It should be clearly smaller than the big wheel.
Step 5: Wheel hubs
Draw a smaller circle inside each wheel, like a donut hole. Put a tiny dot in the very middle of the big one.
Step 6: The roll cage
Start at the top of the big wheel and draw a tall line going up. Curve it across the top, then bring a slanted line down on the right side.
Step 7: The driver
Draw a round head inside the frame with two dot eyes and a small smile. Add curved lines for the shoulders, arms and tummy, and a short line on the left for the seat back.
Step 8: The helmet
Draw a curved cap over the top of the head. Then draw a straight line across the head under the cap for the helmet band.
Step 9: Ground lines
Draw a long, slightly wavy line under both wheels for the ground. Add a second, shorter line below it.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

- Draw the big bumpy wheel as a plain circle first, then go around it again with small waves for the tire.
- Make the front wheel clearly smaller than the big wheel, and leave a small gap at the bottom of its outline.
- Keep the driver's head round and fairly big. Draw the helmet band after the cap so the line stays straight across.
