Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: The round head
Draw a big round curve near the top, like a circle with a little gap on the lower left. On the right side, let the line curve down and in, then slide out to the right to start the tail.
Step 3: The chubby body
Start below the gap on the left and draw a big curve down around the belly. Sweep it up on the right to meet the end of the tail.
Step 4: The beak
On the left side of the head, draw a small rounded bump that sticks out like a little nose. Add a short curved line under it for the bottom of the beak.
Step 5: The neck
Draw a tiny curved line under the beak that goes down and in to meet the body. This joins the head and body together.
Step 6: Wing and side curve
On the left, draw a leaf shape that hangs off the body like a little arm. On the belly, start in the middle and draw a curvy line that dips down and then swoops up on the right toward the back.
Step 7: The little feet
At the bottom of the body, draw two small flat feet side by side. Give each one wavy toes along the bottom.
Step 8: The eyes
Draw a big round dot for the main eye on the head, and fill it in. Add a small tilted oval near the beak for the other eye.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a banana duck
- Start with the head and body as light shapes in your mind, so the neck lands where they meet.
- The beak is the trickiest part. Draw a small rounded bump, then add a short curved line under it.
- Make the two feet about the same size, and draw the toes as soft waves instead of sharp points.
