Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: The round fruit
Draw a big, slightly wide circle on the left side of your paper. Leave a little room at the top for the crown.
Step 3: The little crown
On top of the fruit, draw a zigzag crown with three points, the middle one tallest. Let the two ends touch the top of the circle.
Step 4: The shiny curve
Inside the upper left of the circle, draw a short curved line that follows the edge. It shows where the light shines on the fruit.
Step 5: Eyes and smile
Near the bottom of the circle, draw two small round dots for eyes. Put a little smile curve in the middle between them.
Step 6: The outer ring
On the right side of the paper, draw a big circle about the same size as the fruit. This is the peel of the pomegranate cut in half.
Step 7: The inner ring
Draw a second circle inside the first one, leaving a small gap all the way around. This is the juicy part just under the peel.
Step 8: Dividing lines and middle
Draw four short straight lines that point toward the center like an X, leaving a small empty space in the middle. Then draw a tiny loop near the center at the top, bottom, left and right, where the seeds will go.
Step 9: Seed clusters
In each of the four sections, draw a bumpy shape made of three small circles pushed together, like a little clover. Draw one at the top, bottom, left and right.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a pomegranate
- Draw the two big circles lightly first so they end up about the same size, then go over them with a firmer line.
- The crown is the trickiest part. Make three points and let the middle one stand a little taller than the other two.
- For the seeds, draw three small circles that touch each other, then repeat the same shape in each section so they match.
