How to Draw a Toothbrush (Easy Step by Step)

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: The long handle
Draw a long, slanted shape going from the bottom left up toward the top right, like a fat stick. Round off the bottom end so it looks smooth, and leave the top end open.
Step 3: Rounded square head
At the top end of the handle, draw a rounded square tilted to the right. Its lower left corner sits just above where the handle stops.
Step 4: Bristle block
On top of the rounded square, draw a tilted rectangle and fill it with short slanted lines for the bristles. Then add a little band across the handle where it meets the head.
Step 5: Line across the bristles
Draw one slanted line across the bristles, near the top end of the bristle block.
Step 6: Toothpaste blob
On the top left of the bristles, draw a small wiggly bumpy shape like a little cloud of toothpaste.
Step 7: Handle details
Draw a small oval near the bottom of the handle for a hanging hole. Then add four short slanted dashes along the handle for grip.
Step 8: The toothpaste tube
Near the bottom right, draw a tall rounded rectangle with sloped shoulders at the top. Add a small narrow cap on top of the shoulders.
Step 9: Tube label lines
Draw a short straight line across the upper part of the tube and a wiggly squiggle just below it. Then draw a wide straight line near the bottom of the tube.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a toothbrush
- Draw the handle as two long lines that stay about the same distance apart, so it does not get too fat or too thin in the middle.
- The bristle lines are the trickiest part. Draw them all slanting the same direction and try to space them evenly.
- Make the toothpaste tube a bit shorter than the handle, so the two objects look balanced on the page.
