Step 1: The sweater body
Start with a big letter U shape in the middle of your page: two straight sides going down and a flat line across the bottom. Leave the top wide open.
Step 2: The collar
Near the top of the page, above the U, draw a wide oval for the collar. Draw a smaller oval inside it for the neck hole.
Step 3: The sleeves
From each side of the collar, draw a big curved line that swoops down and out like a rainbow. At the end of each curve, draw a short slanted line back in toward the top of the body to close the sleeve.
Step 4: The sleeve cuffs
At the end of each sleeve, draw a few short slanted lines side by side for the cuff. Make them run across the sleeve end, like stripes.
Step 5: The bottom band
Draw a straight line across the body, close to the bottom, to make a stretchy band. Add straight lines going down from it to the bottom edge, evenly spaced like fence posts.
Step 6: The leaf pattern
In the middle of the sweater, draw a leaf shape with pointy, rounded bumps all around, like a maple leaf. Finish with a straight line down the middle for the leaf stem.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a cozy sweater
- Draw the U-shaped body first and make it a little wider than you think. The sleeves need room to attach on both sides.
- The leaf is the trickiest part. Draw a light star shape first with five points, then round off the points into bumps.
- For the stripes on the cuffs and bottom band, draw the first and last line, then add the ones in between so they stay evenly spaced.

How to color your cozy sweater drawing
Try orange, red, and yellow for a fall sweater, with a different color for the leaf than the body. For a creative twist, give the cuffs and bottom band a rainbow of stripes.

You need a U shape for the body, two ovals for the collar, and curved lines for the sleeves. Add straight lines for the stripes and a leaf shape for the pattern.
How do I make my sweater look cozy?
Add stripes on the cuffs and the bottom band, and a fun pattern in the middle. A thick, round collar also makes it look soft and warm.
Can I draw a different pattern on the front?
Yes. Try a heart, a snowflake, or a star instead of the leaf. Draw it in the middle of the body so it looks balanced.
