How to draw a New Year's clock step by step

How to Draw a New Year's Clock · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.

  2. Step 2: The clock case

Draw a big round circle in the middle of your page. This is the body of the clock, so make it nice and large.

  3. Step 3: The clock face

Draw a slightly smaller circle inside the first one, leaving a thin gap all the way around. This makes the edge of the clock face.

  4. Step 4: The two bells

On the top left and top right of the case, draw a rounded dome that sits on the circle like a little hat. Add a tiny loop at the outer top of each dome.

  5. Step 5: The little feet

At the bottom left and bottom right, draw a rounded teardrop shape that tucks under the clock. They help the clock stand up.

  6. Step 6: Hand and center

Draw a filled dot in the middle of the face. Then draw a straight hand going up from it with a small pointed tip, and add a short dash above it near the top edge of the face.

  7. Step 7: Side hour marks

Draw a short, fat dash on the left side and another on the right side of the clock face. Keep them the same length and at the same height as the center dot.

  8. Step 8: The happy face

Draw two filled circles for eyes, side by side below the center dot. Between them, a bit lower, draw a small curved smile like a little bowl. Then add a short dash at the bottom of the face.

  9. Step 9: Little diamonds

Draw a small diamond with a tiny diamond inside it on each side of the clock, out beside the bells.

  10. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.
