Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: Head and hat brim
Draw a big round oval for the head, leaving a small gap at the bottom where the neck will be. Then draw a flat, skinny oval across the top right of the head for the hat brim.
Step 3: The tall hat
Stand a tall box shape on the brim, a little wider at the top than at the bottom. Add a short slanted dash inside the hat as a little shine mark.
Step 4: A little curl
On the top left of the head, draw a small curl like a loop or the number 9 sitting on the head. Start and end it on the head line.
Step 5: Face and belt
Draw two small dots for eyes and a curved smile between them. Below the head, draw a short slanted belt line with a tiny loop for a buckle, a short line on the right for the shoulder, and two tiny marks for the legs.
Step 6: Tummy and arms
Draw a rounded tummy shape under the head, wider at the bottom. Add a long curved oval arm on the left side and a small curved arm on the right side.
Step 7: The sash
Draw two straight slanted lines across the tummy, from the upper left down toward the right, to make a sash.
Step 8: The party horn
Next to the right side of the head, draw a cone shape that is wide at the top and narrow at the bottom. Finish the bottom with a small round loop for the mouthpiece.
Step 9: Horn stripes
Draw two or three short slanted lines across the horn, going from one side to the other.
Step 10: Two little feet
At the bottom of the legs, draw two flat ovals side by side for the feet.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.
