Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: Fluffy top of head
Draw a wavy, bumpy line like a little row of clouds. Start low on the left, bump up and over the middle, and come back down on the right.
Step 3: The curly horns
On each end of the bumpy line, draw a big curl that swings up and out wide, like a giant C, then curves back in and ends below the line. Make both horns about the same size.
Step 4: Inside the horns
Inside each horn, draw a small curved line like a rainbow, to make a little round ear tucked next to the head.
Step 5: The face
Draw a wide U shape for the face. Start at the bottom of one horn, curve down and across like a big smile, and come back up to the bottom of the other horn.
Step 6: The fluffy body
Under the face, draw a puffy body with lots of little bumps. Start beside one cheek, go down and around the bottom like a cloud, and come up on the other side.
Step 7: Two little feet
At the bottom of the body, draw two small U shapes for the feet. Leave a gap between them.
Step 8: Eyes
Draw two round dots for eyes, side by side in the middle of the face. Fill them in with dark color.
Step 9: Nose and smile
Between the eyes and a little lower, draw a tiny line going down. Then add two small curves, like a sideways w, for the nose and a happy mouth.
Step 10: Wool curl
On the forehead, draw one short wavy line, curved like a gentle smile, to show a curl of wool.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a ram
- Draw each horn in one smooth swing, like a big letter C. If it wobbles, try again with a lighter hand, or turn the paper so your wrist curves more easily.
- The fluffy top and body are the trickiest parts. Think of drawing a row of tiny clouds instead of one long line, and pick up your pencil between bumps if you need to.
- Make both horns about the same size by starting each one at the same height on the bumpy line. Look at where the first horn ends before you start the second.

How to color your ram drawing
Try cream or light gray for the wool, tan or brown for the horns, and pink inside the ears. For a creative twist, color the wool in rainbow patches to make a cotton candy ram.
Ram fun fact for kids
A male sheep is called a ram, and its horns never fall off. They keep growing for its whole life, curling a little more each year.
