How to Draw a Forklift (Easy Step by Step)
A forklift is a fun drawing because it looks like a little truck with a tall tower and a box to carry. It is built from simple shapes: rectangles, circles, and a few straight lines. Once you know the order, it comes together quickly.

Step 1: Top and left of body
Draw a long flat line going across for the top of the forklift's body. At the left end, curve the line down and round the bottom corner. The right side and bottom stay open for now.
Step 2: The roof
Above the body, draw a wide, flat-bottomed cap shape with a flat top and rounded corners, like a little hat. Leave a gap between the roof and the body.
Step 3: Posts and seat
Draw two straight lines down from the roof to the top line of the body to hold the roof up. Between them, draw a small seat shaped like a letter F lying on its side.
Step 4: The big wheel
Below the body, toward the right, draw a big circle. Add a smaller circle inside it for the center of the wheel.
Step 5: The small wheel
Near the left end of the body, draw a smaller circle with a tiny circle inside it. Connect it to the big wheel with a short straight line between them.
Step 6: The mast and fork
At the right end of the body, draw a tall, skinny rounded rectangle standing straight up. At its bottom, draw a long, flat fork sticking out to the right.
Step 7: The crate
Sit a square box on top of the fork. Draw its left side, top and right side, going down to the fork.
Step 8: Crate stripes
Draw a straight line across the middle of the crate, letting it stick out a little on the left. Then draw a long diagonal line from the top left corner of the crate down to the bottom right.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a forklift
- Start the body with a light line across the top and a rounded corner at the bottom left, then press harder once it looks right.
- Draw the tall mast as a long skinny rectangle with round ends. Use the edge of a ruler or a book if you want it straight.
- For the crate, draw the box first, then the line across the middle, and finish with the diagonal from the top left corner to the bottom right.
