How to draw a monster truck step by step

How to Draw a Monster Truck · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Truck body and cab

Draw a long rectangle with rounded corners for the body. Then draw a smaller bump on top, a little right of the middle, with slanted sides and a flat top, for the cab.

  2. Step 2: The window

Inside the cab bump, draw a smaller shape with a flat bottom and two slanted sides. It looks like a trapezoid, a small copy of the cab.

  3. Step 3: Springs and axle

Below the body, draw two wiggly lines hanging down side by side like squiggly snakes. Then draw one long straight line across the bottom of both for the axle.

  4. Step 4: The big tires

Draw one huge circle at each end of the axle, so the axle line runs into the middle of each circle. Make them big so the truck looks powerful.

  5. Step 5: Rims and treads

Inside each tire, draw a smaller circle to make the rim. Then add short lines around the rim, between the two circles, for chunky treads.

  6. Step 6: The wheel hubs

Draw a small circle in the very center of each wheel, right on the axle line.

  7. Step 7: Side decoration

On the left side of the body, draw a small bumpy blob with a rounded bottom and a wavy top, like a splash of mud.

  8. Step 8: Dash and dot

Draw a short dash in the middle of the body, and a small dot near the right end of the body.

  9. All done!

Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a monster truck

  • Draw the two big tires about the same size. Make the first circle, then use it as a guide for the second one.
  • The springs are the trickiest part. Draw each one as a line that curves back and forth, and take your time on the curves.
  • Put the small hub circles in the exact middle of each tire. Use the axle line as your guide so both hubs line up.

Questions about drawing a monster truck

What shapes do I need to draw a monster truck?

You need a long rectangle with a bump on top for the body and cab, a small trapezoid for the window, and circles for the tires and hubs. The springs are just two wiggly lines.

How do I make my monster truck tires look big?

Draw the tires as big circles that hang far below the body, so the truck sits high above the ground. Adding a second circle inside each tire and short lines around it also makes them look chunky.

How do I draw the springs so they look bouncy?

Draw a line that curves left, then right, then left again, like a stack of S shapes. Keep each curve about the same size so the spring looks even.
