Step 1: Top and left outline
Start near the bottom left and curve up and around the left side, then across the top. Stop at the top right with a short line going straight down.
Step 2: The plate
Under the donut, draw a wide flat oval for the plate. Make the top edge of the oval rise up on both sides, so the donut will sit on it.
Step 3: The bite and right side
Starting at the short line at the top right, draw a wavy line of little bumps, like a scallop, going down and to the right. Then curve it down the right side of the donut until it touches the plate.
Step 4: The jelly filling
Inside the bite, along the wavy edge, draw a long teardrop shape for the jelly, hanging down like a drip. Close the shape at the bottom so it is a smooth loop.
Step 5: Eyes and smile
Draw two big round dots for eyes, side by side on the lower middle of the donut. Between them and a little lower, draw a small curved smile like a little bowl.
Step 6: Sprinkle dots
Scatter small round dots across the donut to be the sprinkles. Keep them spread out so each one has some space.
Step 7: The plate rim
Inside the plate, near the bottom edge, draw a long curved line like a smile. It shows the rim of the plate.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a jelly donut
- Start with the curved top and left side, and leave the top right open for the bite so the donut keeps a nice round shape.
- The bumpy bite edge is the trickiest part. Draw it as three or four small round scallops in a row, one at a time.
- Make the two eyes about the same size and draw the smile centered between them so the face looks friendly.
