Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The head
Draw a big wide oval for the head, a little wider than it is tall. Leave a small gap at the bottom where the neck will go.
Step 3: The pointy ears
On each top corner of the head, draw a tall triangle with a slightly curved outer edge. Make both ears about the same size.
Step 4: Antlers and inner ears
Draw two short, thin, slightly slanted lines rising above the head, one near each ear, for the reindeer antlers. Then add a short curved line inside each ear.
Step 5: Forehead markings
Draw a curved line across the top of the face, like a headband. Then draw two long curved lines that start together at the top and come down toward the middle, like a pointy upside-down V.
Step 6: Eyes
Add two small dots for eyes, one on each side of the face. Keep them level with each other.
Step 7: Muzzle and nose
Under the markings, draw a small oval for the muzzle. Draw a rounded nose at the top of the oval and color it in.
Step 8: Smile and collar
Draw a small wavy smile inside the muzzle. Then, just under the chin, draw a curved collar with a little bell shape hanging in the middle.
Step 9: Paws and feet
Draw a small rounded paw on each side below the collar. Then draw two oval feet at the bottom, joined by a gentle curve across the base.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a Christmas corgi
- Draw the head oval first and make it wide. The ears and antlers are easier to place once you can see the top of the head.
- The two forehead lines are the trickiest part. Start both at the top and let them curve gently apart as they come down, stopping just above the muzzle.
- Draw the muzzle oval before the nose so the nose fits at the top of it, and keep the eyes level by lining them up with each other.

How to color your Christmas corgi drawing
Color the corgi a warm orange and tan, with a white muzzle and forehead stripe, and make the collar red or green. For a creative twist, add tiny ornaments to the antlers or draw snowflakes around the pup.
Christmas corgi fun fact for kids
Corgis were bred to herd cattle by nipping at their heels, and their short legs kept them low and out of the way of kicks.
