How to draw a kid with building blocks step by step

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: The big round head
Draw a big, wide oval for the head near the top left of your page. Stop the line a little short at the bottom on each side, so there is a small gap where the neck will go.
Step 3: The happy face
Draw two small round dots for eyes in the middle of the head. Under them, draw a little curved smile like a bowl.
Step 4: The body
Under the head, draw a body shaped like a soft rectangle. Start at the left end of the head, draw a line across the top, then wobbly sides going down to a flat bottom.
Step 5: The apron pocket
In the middle of the body, draw a small square with a flat top for the apron pocket. Add two short slanted straps that go from the top corners of the pocket up to the top of the body.
Step 6: The arms
On the right side of the body, draw a long skinny oval that slants up and away. On the left side, draw a smaller oval hanging down along the body.
Step 7: Legs and shoes
Draw a tiny circle at the bottom of the left arm for a hand. Then draw two short straight lines going down from the bottom of the body, and a wide flat oval under each one for a shoe.
Step 8: The block tower
To the right of the kid, draw a tall rectangle with rounded corners. Draw three straight lines across it to make four blocks stacked on top of each other.
Step 9: The triangle block
Draw a triangle with a pointy top and a flat bottom just above the top block of the tower.
Step 10: Star, letters and hand
Draw a small star in the top block, then the letters C, B and A in the blocks below it. Finish with a small circle for the hand at the tip of the long arm, next to the triangle.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a kid with building blocks
- Draw the tower after the kid. Use a ruler or the edge of a card to draw the three lines across so each block comes out the same size.
- The long arm is the trickiest part. Draw one skinny oval slanting upward, then add the small circle hand at the end when you finish.
- Draw the star and the letters C, B and A small and simple, and leave a little space around each one so they fit inside their blocks.

Questions about drawing a kid with building blocks
What shapes do I need to draw a kid building blocks?
You need a big oval for the head, long skinny ovals for the arms and wide ovals for the shoes. Rectangles make the body, the apron pocket and the blocks, and one triangle goes on top.

Draw the tall outline first, then add the lines across to make four equal blocks. A ruler helps, and light pencil lines you can erase are fine.
How do I make my kid look cuter?
Draw the eyes small and the smile wide, and make the head extra big compared to the body.
