How to Draw Hot Air Balloons in the Sky · tinyhandscreate.com
Step 1: Balloon outlines
Draw three balloon shapes that are round and wide on top and narrow into a short neck at the bottom, with a flat bottom edge. Make one on the left, one lower in the middle, and a smaller one on the right.
Step 2: Side stripes
Inside each balloon, draw one curved line near the left edge and one near the right edge. Start each line at the top, let it bow outward, then curve back in toward the neck.
Step 3: Middle stripes
Draw two more curved lines inside each balloon, between the side stripes. Start them together at the top, let them bow apart a little in the middle, and bring them back together near the neck.
Step 4: Rope band
Near the bottom of each balloon, where it narrows, draw two short straight lines across. Join them with tiny straight lines to make the ropes.
Step 5: Basket band
Draw one short straight line across the middle of each basket, in the narrow part below the ropes.
Step 6: Puffy clouds
Fill the empty sky with three clouds. Draw each one as a closed outline made of round bumps, with a tall bump on top and smaller bumps on the sides.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing hot air balloons in the sky
- Draw each balloon as a big rounded shape that narrows at the bottom, and press lightly so you can fix the shape.
- For the stripes, start each curve at the same spot on top and let them meet again near the bottom. Draw the side stripes first, then the middle ones.
- Make the right balloon smaller than the other two and place them at different heights. It makes the sky look deep and keeps the page from feeling crowded.
