How to draw Domo-kun step by step

How to Draw Domo-Kun · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Left ear and side

Start with a small curve for a round ear on the left, and keep going down the left side of the body. Then curve out into a rounded arm that ends in a little hook near the bottom.

  2. Step 2: Top, right ear and side

Draw a gently curved line across the top of the head, starting at the left ear and ending in a round ear on the right. Then curve down the right side and out into a matching rounded arm.

  3. Step 3: Legs and feet

Under each arm, draw a line straight down and curve it into a round foot. Join the two feet with a short, flat line in the middle.

  4. Step 4: The two eyes

In the upper middle of the body, draw two small round dots, one on each side. Fill them in.

  5. Step 5: The big mouth

Under the eyes, draw a wide, rounded shape like a bowl. Make the top fairly flat and the bottom curved.

  6. Step 6: Nose and zigzag teeth

Draw a tiny oval nose between the eyes, a little lower down. Inside the top of the mouth, draw a zigzag line of pointy teeth, with a longer fang at each end.

  7. All done!

Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing Domo-kun

  • Draw the two ears about the same size so he looks balanced. If one comes out bigger, make the other match.
  • The mouth is the trickiest part, so draw a wide bowl first and keep the top flatter than the bottom. Leave room above it for the eyes and nose.
  • For the teeth, draw a row of small mountains going up and down, and add a longer fang at each end. Pencil them lightly first so you can fix the points.
