Step 1: Left side and tail
Start at the top with a little curl for the left ear, then draw a long wavy line down the left side of the body. Off to the right, add a small sideways hook for the tail.
Step 2: The rock
Draw a big, flat, lumpy oval shape at the bottom, like a smooth stone to sit on. Start it at the bottom of the body's left side and sweep it around and to the right.
Step 3: Front paws
Draw a short wavy line along the top of the rock, with a few tiny curved toe lines poking up. These are the little paws resting on the stone.
Step 4: Head top and right side
Start near the left ear and draw a gentle curve across the top of the head, with a round bump for the right ear. Then draw a long curved line down the right side of the body until it reaches the tail.
Step 5: The back foot
Draw a short curved line along the bottom right of the body, from the paws across to the tail. It makes the round belly and back foot.
Step 6: Eyes and mouth
Draw two round dots for the eyes, with space between them. Then add a tiny wiggly line between them for a sweet little mouth.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a pika
- Draw slowly and keep your lines smooth and steady so the body looks soft and round.
- The ears are small round bumps on top of the head, so try to make them the same size on both sides.
- Keep the eyes wide apart and the mouth tiny. Small features on a big round face make the pika look extra cute.
