Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Head and body outline
Draw one long, bumpy line for the head and body. Start with a small ear on the upper left, curve over the top to a second little bump on the right, then bring the line down both sides so the bottom stays open. Keep it round and chubby.
Step 3: The snout
On the left side of the face, draw a wide, soft oval for the snout. Squish the bottom a tiny bit so it looks like a bean.
Step 4: Nostrils
Inside the snout, draw two small tilted ovals side by side for the nostrils. Fill them in so they are nice and dark.
Step 5: Eyes
Draw one small round dot at the upper left of the snout, just touching its top edge. Add a matching round dot farther to the right, at the same height.
Step 6: First hoof
At the bottom left of the body, where the side line ends, draw a short, wide hoof with a little notch in the bottom. Fill it in with dark color.
Step 7: Two more hooves
Add two more wide hooves along the bottom, one in the middle and one at the lower right where the body line ends. Make them about the same size as the first one.
Step 8: Belly lines
Draw a short, gentle curved line from the first hoof to the middle hoof, and another from the middle hoof to the last hoof. These lines make the bottom of the belly and show the legs.
Step 9: Curly tail
On the right side of the body, draw a tiny loop shaped like a small circle that is open on the body side. It starts and ends on the body line.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a wild boar
- Start with the light oval guide and trace the body outline around it. The ears, back, and sides are all one long line, so you can fix the shape before you press hard.
- The snout is the trickiest part. Make it a wide oval, then push the bottom edge up in the middle so it looks like a soft bean.
- Keep the three hooves the same size and line them up along the bottom. Use the short curved belly lines to connect them.

Wild boar fun fact for kids
Wild boars have a super sense of smell. They use their strong snouts to dig in the ground and find roots, bulbs, and acorns to eat.
