A pickleball player is a cheerful character built from circles, ovals and a few curved lines. The big round head with a headband, the stretched-out arms and the paddle make a pose that is easy to spot and fun to draw. If you can draw a circle and a rounded shape, you can draw this player.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Right side of head
Start near the top and draw a curved line bending down and to the left, like the right side of a big circle. Stop at the guide oval, where the chin will be.
Step 3: Headband, cap and head
Draw a curved band across the top with a small loop at each end. Add a dome above it for the cap. Then draw the left side of the head, curving down from the band to meet the right side near the chin.
Step 4: Happy face
Draw two round dots for eyes and a little curved smile between and below them. Add a tiny V just under the chin for the neck.
Step 5: Shirt and shorts
Draw two lines down from under the chin that spread a little wider at the bottom. Add a curved belt line across, then close the shorts with a flat bottom that has a small notch in the middle.
Step 6: Arms and dots
Draw two long curved arms stretching out from the shoulders, each one a curved band. End the left arm with a small circle for a hand, and leave the right arm open for now. Add three tiny dots floating to the left.
Step 7: Legs and shoes
Draw a short line down the middle of the shorts, then two short lines going down from the shorts for legs. Add a flat oval at the bottom of each leg for a shoe.
Step 8: Paddle and hand
Draw a small circle at the end of the right arm for the hand. Above it draw a big rounded paddle shape with a short, thick handle going down into the hand.
Step 9: The pickleball
Draw a small circle around the three floating dots to make the ball with its holes.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a pickleball player
- Draw the head lightly, so the headband and the cap have a round shape to follow.
- The arms are the trickiest part. Start at the shoulder and curve out in one smooth motion, then add the hand circle at the end.
- Make the paddle a rounded shape with a short handle so it fits in the hand.
- Draw the three dots for the ball first, then put a circle around them.
