How to draw a Father's Day card step by step

How to Draw a Father's Day Card · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Top and bottom lines

Draw a long straight line near the top of your paper. Then draw another long line near the bottom, about the same length and straight below the first one.

  2. Step 2: The card sides

Connect the two lines with a straight side on the left and another on the right. Now you have a tall rectangle, like the front of a card.

  3. Step 3: The back flap

Start at the top left corner and draw a long line slanting up to the right. Turn down at the end and draw a short line that tucks into the top edge of the card.

  4. Step 4: The tie knot

Near the top middle of the card, draw a small shape like a rounded trapezoid. Make the bottom narrower than the top, then close it with a short straight line across.

  5. Step 5: The long tie

From each bottom corner of the knot, draw a line sloping down and a little outward. Then angle each line inward so they meet at a point at the bottom, like a long kite shape.

  6. Step 6: The little heart

In the lower right corner of the card, draw two small bumps side by side. Join them into a point at the bottom to make a heart, then color it in.

  7. All done!

Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a Father's Day card

  • Draw the top and bottom lines first, then join them with the sides. This keeps the card looking like a tall rectangle.
  • The back flap should peek out above the front. Start it at the top left corner and let it tuck into the top edge of the card.
  • For the tie, draw the knot first and then the long part, so the two shapes line up in the middle. Keep both sides of the tie about the same slant.
