How to Draw a Spoon and Fork (Easy Step by Step)

A spoon and fork crossed in an X is a fun first drawing because it uses only a few simple shapes. You will draw an egg for the spoon bowl, two long skinny handles with rounded ends, and two narrow arches that make the three fork prongs. The crossing in the middle looks tricky, but it is just lines that stop when they touch the spoon.

How to draw a spoon and fork step by step

How to Draw a Spoon and Fork · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.

  2. Step 2: The spoon bowl

Near the top left, draw a big egg shape that is a little taller than it is wide. Leave a small gap at the bottom right where the handle will begin.

  3. Step 3: The spoon handle

From the gap at the bottom of the bowl, draw two long lines going down and to the right, like a skinny road. Close the bottom with a rounded end, like a big smooth thumb.

  4. Step 4: Left side of the fork

To the right of the spoon, start at the top and curve a line down and in toward the spoon handle. Stop where it touches the handle.

  5. Step 5: Right side of the fork

Start high on the right and curve a long line down and around, like the outside of a bowl. Then bring it in and slant it down until it touches the spoon handle.

  6. Step 6: The fork prongs

Between the two outer lines, draw two long, narrow arches, like upside-down Us. The gaps they make leave three prongs on the fork.

  7. Step 7: The fork handle

Start at the left edge of the spoon handle and draw two lines going down and to the left. Join them at the bottom with a round curve so the fork handle ends in a soft loop.

  8. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.
