How to Draw a Bumblebee (Easy Step by Step)
This bumblebee is built from soft, friendly shapes: one fluffy round body with a bumpy edge, two stripes, and four oval wings. The wavy fuzz and the little lines along the bottom make it look extra cuddly. If you can draw curves and ovals, you can draw this bee.

Step 1: Fuzzy top and antennae
Draw a curved arch with lots of tiny bumps, like the top of a fluffy cloud. Then add two short curved antennae poking up from the middle of the arch.
Step 2: Fuzzy sides and bottom
Continue down from both ends of the arch with bumpy lines, then curve them around to meet at the bottom. Add a gently curved line across the lower part and a few short little lines hanging down along the bottom edge.
Step 3: Two stripes
Draw two long, gently curved lines across the middle of the body, from one side to the other. They make the bumblebee's stripes.
Step 4: Top wings
Draw two tall ovals on top of the body, one on each side of the antennae. Tuck the bottom of each oval against the fuzzy top and tilt them slightly outward.
Step 5: Side wings
Add two smaller ovals that stick out sideways, one on each side of the body and tilted slightly upward. Start each one where the fuzzy edge is, near the top of the body.
Step 6: Eyes and smile
Draw two small round dots for eyes, side by side in the upper middle of the body. Then add a small curved smile underneath, like a little happy bowl.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a bumblebee
- Sketch the body as a light round shape first, then trace over it with little bumps. Bumps drawn on top of a smooth shape come out much more even.
- Draw the two stripes as curves that bend the same way, like a gentle smile, so the body looks round instead of flat.
- Make the wings in pairs and check that each one is about the same size as its partner. Draw the tall top pair first, then the smaller side pair.

How to color your bumblebee drawing
Color the body yellow with black or dark brown stripes, and the wings a pale light blue. For a creative twist, give your bee a rainbow of stripes or draw a flower for it to visit.
Bumblebee fun fact for kids
Bumblebees can shake flowers by buzzing. They grab on and vibrate their flight muscles, which shakes loose pollen. This is called buzz pollination.
