Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: Head and forehead curl
Draw a big rounded head shape that is a little narrower at the chin, and leave the bottom open. Add a tiny curl just inside the top of the head and two short dashes floating above it.
Step 3: The round body
Draw a wide oval below the head, with a small gap between the head and the body. Make it about as wide as the head.
Step 4: Muzzle, nose and smile
Draw a rounded muzzle shape across the open bottom of the head, so it joins the head lines on each side. Add two little dots for nostrils and a small curved smile under them.
Step 5: The eyes
Draw two solid round dots in the middle of the face, above the muzzle. Keep them the same size and spaced apart.
Step 6: Pointy ears
Draw a pointed leaf shape on each side of the top of the head. Start each ear on the head line, go up to a point, and come back down to the head.
Step 7: The magic horn
Draw a tall, narrow triangle that sticks up from the middle of the top of the head. Draw it over the little dashes so they become stripes.
Step 8: The fluffy mane
On the left side of the head, draw a row of round bumps like little clouds. Start near the ear, bump your way down, and end near the muzzle where the head meets the body.
Step 9: Tail and feet
On the right side of the body, draw a puffy cloud shape for the tail with a few round bumps. Then add two small curved shapes along the bottom of the body for the feet.
Step 10: A twinkly star
Next to your unicorn, draw a small five-pointed star. Make a point at the top, then zigzag out and in around the shape until you get back to the start.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a baby unicorn
- Draw the head and body as light ovals first, with a small gap between them. A chubby, round body makes your unicorn look extra cute.
- The horn is the trickiest part. Keep the triangle tall and narrow, with the point straight up and the base in the middle of the head.
- For the mane, make the bumps different sizes and keep them round. Wobbly bumps look fluffier than perfectly even ones.
