This garbage collector is a friendly worker in a cap and a safety vest, standing next to a rolling trash bin. The whole drawing is built from rounded shapes, circles and straight lines, so it is a good one to practice shapes with. The stripes and wheels are the fun finishing touches.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: The big round head
Draw a big rounded head shape, starting at the bottom left and curving up and over the top and down to the bottom right. Leave a gap at the bottom where the neck will go.
Step 3: Cap band and brim
Draw a straight line across the head, a little above the middle, for the cap band. Then draw a flat oval right under it for the cap brim.
Step 4: Neck and vest sides
Draw a short curved line under the head for the neck. Then draw two wavy lines going down from each end of it for the sides of the vest.
Step 5: Face, arms and legs
Add two small dots for eyes and a little smile. On the left, draw a bent arm hanging down with a small circle hand, and on the right, draw an arm reaching out with a round hand. Draw a V at the neck for the collar, then two short legs at the bottom of the vest.
Step 6: Vest stripes
Draw several straight lines across the middle of the vest, one under the other, to make the safety stripes. Try to keep them about the same distance apart.
Step 7: Shoes
At the bottom of each leg, draw a flat oval for a shoe. Make the two shoes about the same size.
Step 8: The trash bin
Next to the round hand, draw a bin that is wider at the top and narrower at the bottom, like a cup. Add a line near the top for the rim, then two small wheels at the bottom.
Step 9: The bin lid
Draw a long, thin tilted rectangle above the bin for the open lid. Make it lean up and to the right, starting near the hand.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

- Make the two wheels the same size by drawing the first one, then copying it next to it at the bottom of the bin.
