Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: The left paddle face
Draw a big circle on the left side of your page. Then draw a smaller circle inside it, leaving an even gap all the way around, to make the rubber part of the paddle.
Step 3: The right paddle face
Draw a second big circle on the right side, the same size as the first and at the same height. Add a smaller circle inside it, just like before.
Step 4: The long right handle
Start at the bottom of the right circle and draw two straight lines slanting down and to the left. Finish with a rounded end near the bottom of the page.
Step 5: The left handle
From the bottom of the left circle, draw one line slanting down and to the right until it meets the other handle. Then draw a rounded end that peeks out on the other side of the long handle.
Step 6: Grip stripes
Draw short slanted lines across each handle, close to the paddle faces. They make little bands that look like tape for gripping.
Step 7: The ball and speed lines
Above the paddles, draw a small circle for the ping pong ball. Next to it, add three short lines of different lengths, one above the other, to show the ball zooming along.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a ping pong paddle
- Draw the two big circles first and check that they sit at the same height. Matching circles make the whole picture look neat.
- For the inner circles, keep the gap to the outer circle about the same all the way around. Try drawing them lightly first.
- Let the handles cross near the bottom. Draw the long handle all the way through, then stop the other handle where it touches and start again on the other side.
