How to draw a peach step by step

How to Draw a Peach · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.

  2. Step 2: Peach body and curve

Draw a big rounded shape like a heart with a small dip at the top and a soft point at the bottom. Then draw a curved line that starts at the dip and sweeps down the right side, stopping before the bottom.

  3. Step 3: The little stem

Start at the dip in the top of the peach and draw a short, straight line going up.

  4. Step 4: Two leaves

At the top of the stem, draw one pointy oval leaf leaning to the left. Then draw a matching leaf leaning to the right.

  5. Step 5: Two round eyes

On the big left part of the peach, draw two small circles side by side, about halfway down. Color them in solid.

  6. Step 6: A happy smile

Between the eyes and a little lower, draw a small curved line like a tiny bowl or the bottom of a circle.

  7. Step 7: Rosy cheeks

Draw a small flat oval on each side of the smile, just below the eyes, one on the left and one on the right.

  8. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a peach

  • Start with a light, round shape, then add the dip at the top and the small point at the bottom. The dip and the point are what make it look like a peach and not an apple.
  • The curved line on the right side is the trickiest part. Start it right at the dip, let it swing out to the right, and stop it before it touches the bottom.
  • Draw the two eyes at the same height, then place the cheeks just below and outside them. Checking that they match makes the face look balanced and cute.

How to color your peach drawing

Try soft orange and pink on the peach, with a deeper pink for the cheeks and green for the leaves. For a twist, color the right side a little darker to make the peach look round.

Peach fun fact for kids

A peach has one big, hard pit in the middle with a seed inside. If you plant a pit in good soil, it can grow into a peach tree, but it takes a few years before the tree makes fruit.

Questions about drawing a peach

What shapes do I need to draw a peach?

You need one big heart-like shape for the body, two small pointy ovals for the leaves, and a few circles and small ovals for the face. The stem is just a short straight line.

How do I make my peach look cuter?

Keep the eyes wide apart, add small oval cheeks, and finish with a tiny smile. Small features on a big round body make it look extra sweet.

How do I draw the dip at the top of a peach?

Draw the left and right humps of the top so the two lines meet in a small dip in the middle. Then add the stem growing up from that dip.
