Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: The round orange
Start with a big circle on the left side of your paper. Draw it lightly first, then go over it with a nice smooth line.
Step 3: Stem and leaf
Draw a tiny stem going up from the top of the circle. At the top of the stem, draw a leaf shape like a pointy oval that leans to the right.
Step 4: Two round eyes
In the middle of the orange, draw two small circles side by side. Color them in so they look like solid dots.
Step 5: A happy smile
Between the eyes and a little below them, draw a small curved line like a tiny smile. Keep it short and cute.
Step 6: The slice outline
On the right side of the paper, draw another circle. This one is the orange slice, so make it a little smaller than the first orange.
Step 7: The inner circle
Inside the slice circle, leave a small gap and draw a smaller circle. The space between the two circles is the peel.
Step 8: Center and segments
Draw a small dot in the very center of the slice. Then draw straight lines from the dot out to the inner circle, like the spokes of a wheel, to split the slice into pieces.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

- For the slice, draw the outer circle first and then the inner one, keeping the same gap all the way around.
- Draw the spokes from the center dot outward, and try to space them evenly like slicing a pizza.
