Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The tooth body
Draw a tall rounded shape for the top of the tooth, with a small dip in the middle of the top edge so it looks like two soft bumps. Let the sides curve in a little and go down, stopping short of the bottom in two small curls.
Step 3: The two roots
At the bottom, draw a small upside-down U between the two curls. This joins the sides and makes two little legs at the bottom of the tooth.
Step 4: The crown
Above the tooth, draw a tilted box shape. Then draw three zigzag points along its top edge to make a crown.
Step 5: Eyes and smile
Draw two small round dots for eyes in the middle of the tooth. Then add a little curved smile between and below them.
Step 6: Twinkly sparkles
Draw a small star with four pointy corners and curved sides on the left of the tooth. Add a second one on the right, a bit lower.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a tooth
- Start the tooth with a soft top that has a small dip in the middle, then let the sides curve down. The little dip is the key to making it look like a tooth.
- The bottom is the trickiest part. Draw one upside-down U between the two curls, and keep both legs about the same length so the tooth stands up evenly.
- Draw the crown as a tilted box first, then add the zigzag points on top. Leave a little gap between the crown and the tooth so it looks like it floats.

How to color your tooth drawing
Leave the tooth white or color it a very pale blue so it looks shiny, and make the crown golden yellow. For a creative twist, color the sparkles in rainbow colors or add a toothbrush and some bubbles.
Tooth fun fact for kids
Kids usually have 20 baby teeth, and adults usually have 32 teeth, counting the wisdom teeth.
Questions about drawing a tooth
What shapes do I need to draw a tooth?
You need a rounded shape with a dip on top for the body and an upside-down U for the bottom legs. The crown is a tilted box with zigzag points, and the sparkles are small four-pointed stars with curved sides.
How do I make my tooth look cuter?
Keep the eyes small and the smile little. Adding a crown and sparkles makes it even sweeter.
How do I draw a smooth tooth outline?
Draw it with light, slow lines first, and keep your hand relaxed. If a side looks wobbly, erase it and redraw just that part rather than the whole tooth.
