How to Draw a Motorcycle (Easy Step by Step)
A motorcycle is a fun drawing because it is mostly circles and straight sticks. Two big wheels, a rounded gas tank, an engine box, and a few lines for the frame and fork are all you need to make something that looks ready to zoom away.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Two big wheels
Draw two big circles side by side, with a wide gap between them. Make them about the same size and sit them on the same line, like the floor.
Step 3: The gas tank
Above and between the wheels, draw a rounded dome like half an egg, with the pointy end facing right. Close it with a gently curved line along the bottom, and let that line stretch out to the left in a short flat tail.
Step 4: The engine box
Under the tank, draw two straight lines going down from its bottom corners. Then draw a small flat rounded rectangle across the bottom, under the two lines, like a step.
Step 5: Seat and frame
On the left, draw a long bumpy pillow shape on top of the flat tail for the seat, touching the tank. Draw one short straight line down from the seat toward the back wheel, then a bent line from the back wheel to the engine box.
Step 6: Fork and handlebar
From the front wheel, draw a long slanted stick going up and to the left, and curl the top into a little handlebar. Add a shorter second stick beside it, going from the first stick down to the front wheel.
Step 7: Hubs and engine circle
Draw a small circle in the middle of each wheel. Then draw one more small circle in the middle of the engine box.
Step 8: The headlight
Near the top of the front fork, draw a medium circle that sits on the slanted stick. Inside it, add a small moon shape so it looks like a shining light.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a motorcycle
- Draw the two wheels first and make them the same size. If one is too small, the whole bike looks tipped over.
- The fork is the trickiest part. Draw the long slanted stick first, then add the shorter stick right beside it, keeping the gap the same all the way down.
- Draw the little circles in the middle of each wheel after the frame and fork are done. Then add the headlight last.

How to color your motorcycle drawing
Try a bright red tank, black wheels with gray middles, and a yellow headlight. For a creative twist, give your motorcycle flames or polka dots on the tank.
Motorcycle fun fact for kids
Many motorcycles have a kickstand, a little metal leg that flips down so the bike can stand up by itself when nobody is holding it.
Questions about drawing a motorcycle
What shapes do I need to draw a motorcycle?
You need circles for the wheels, hubs, and headlight, a dome shape for the tank, and straight lines for the fork and frame. Rectangles with round corners work well for the engine box and seat.
How do I make my motorcycle wheels round?
Draw a light circle by moving your whole arm, not just your fingers. You can also trace around a cup or a coin, then draw over it.
How can I make my motorcycle look like it is moving?
Add a few short straight lines behind the back wheel, like little wind trails. Wind lines make the bike look fast.
