Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: Head and ears
Draw the head as a round shape with two tall pointy ears on top, with a small wavy dip between them. Leave the bottom of the head open, with a gap in the middle of the chin.
Step 3: Inside the ears
Draw a short curved line inside each ear, following the edge of the ear. These make the ears look fluffy.
Step 4: The face mask
Near the top of the face, draw a shape like an upside-down heart with a small dip in the middle. Let the two sides curve down like long arches.
Step 5: Eyes, nose and muzzle
Draw two round dots for eyes, with a tiny dot above each one. Then draw a small rounded triangle for the nose, with a short line going down on each side of it.
Step 6: The tongue
Draw a U-shaped tongue hanging down below the nose, at the bottom of the face.
Step 7: Fluffy chest and body
Draw a bumpy, cloud-like fluff under the head for the chest. Then draw a big rounded hump on each side of it for the sitting body.
Step 8: Front legs and paws
Draw two tall, straight legs side by side in the middle of the chest. Give each one a small rounded paw at the bottom.
Step 9: The ground line
Draw a short, gently curved line along the bottom to join the body to the paws. It makes your husky look like it is sitting.
Step 10: The curly tail
Start at the side of the body and draw a big swirl, like a snail shell. Finish with a small curl inside the swirl.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a husky
- Draw the two ears the same height. Make each one a tall triangle and compare them before you move on.
- The face mask is the trickiest part. Start with the dip in the middle, then let each side curve down.
- For the tail, begin at the side of the body and curl inward slowly. Go slow to keep the swirl smooth.
