How to Draw a Skunk (Easy Step by Step)
A skunk is fun to draw because it is made of simple, friendly shapes: a rounded body, a pointy head, and a big fluffy tail. The long stripes down its back make it easy to spot. Even beginners can finish this one with a few rounded shapes and curvy lines.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The head
Draw a rounded triangle on the left with the pointy nose facing left. Curve the bottom into a soft chin, and close the back of the head with a curved line.
Step 3: Back and belly lines
Start at the back of the head and draw a curved line that sweeps down and to the right. Then draw a long, flat line a little farther right for the bottom of the belly, leaving a small gap between them.
Step 4: The fluffy tail
Draw a big bumpy cloud shape that starts high above the body, loops around to the right, and comes back down to meet the belly line. Make lots of little scallops all the way around the edge.
Step 5: Tail and back lines
Draw a long curved line inside the tail, from near the top of the tail sweeping down toward the body. Then draw a line along the top of the back from the head to the tail, and a short curve down the back edge of the body.
Step 6: The four legs
Draw four little legs under the body, each one a tall rounded rectangle like a short sock. Make two pairs, with the legs in each pair side by side, one pair near the front and one near the back.
Step 7: The ear
Draw a small curved hook on top of the head, like an upside-down U, for the ear.
Step 8: The eye
Draw a small dot for the eye near the middle of the head, a little way back from the nose.
Step 9: The long stripes
Draw two long, gently curved stripes along the back, from the neck toward the tail. Let them come together in a point near the tail.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a skunk
- Draw the tail in one slow, bumpy line. Make the scallops small and keep going around, so they look like a cloud.
- Start the stripes at the neck and let them curve with the back. Draw them lightly first, then go over them.
- Draw the four legs the same height. Keep each leg as a tall, rounded rectangle, and leave a small gap between the pairs.
