How to Draw a Werewolf (Easy Step by Step)
This friendly werewolf is built from simple shapes: a wide head with pointy ears, a small rounded body, and circles for paws. The little fangs and claws make it a bit spooky, but the round shapes keep it cute. It is a great first monster for Halloween.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Head and ears
Draw one big wide shape for the head, like a rounded oval with two pointy triangle ears on top. Add a few little zigzag tufts of fur sticking out on each side of the cheeks.
Step 3: Inside the ears
Inside each ear, draw a short bent line, like a small 'V' or corner, that follows the inner edge of the ear.
Step 4: Body sides
Under the head, draw two curved lines going down, one from each side. They make the sides of a narrow tummy, and the bottom stays open for now.
Step 5: Arms and paws
At each side of the body, draw a small circle for a paw, with a curved arm connecting it to the body. Add three little claw lines poking out from the top of each paw.
Step 6: Feet
At the bottom of the body, draw two small rounded feet side by side. Their tops join the bottom of the tummy.
Step 7: The eyes
Draw two small round dots for eyes, spaced apart in the middle of the face.
Step 8: Nose and mouth
Draw a small dot for the nose between and below the eyes. Then draw a little mouth under it, a short wavy line with two tiny fangs hanging down.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a werewolf
- Draw the head wide before you worry about the ears. The ears sit on the upper corners and point up and a little outward.
- The furry tufts on the cheeks are the trickiest part. Make small zigzags, like a tiny mountain range, and don't worry if they are not even.
- Draw each paw circle first, then connect the arm to it. Add the three claw lines last so they stick out like the rays of a sun.

How to color your werewolf drawing
Try gray or brown fur with pink inside the ears. For a creative twist, color the werewolf in silly colors like purple or green, or add a bright yellow full moon behind it.
Werewolf fun fact for kids
Wolves howl to talk to each other. A howl can carry for miles, so wolves far apart can still tell where the rest of their pack is.
Questions about drawing a werewolf

You need a wide head shape with two pointy ears, a rounded body, circles for the paws, and two small feet. Small dots make the eyes and nose.
How do I make my werewolf look cuter?
Keep the shapes round, put the eyes wide apart, and keep the fangs small. A big head on a small body also makes it look extra cute.
How do I make my werewolf look scary instead?
Make the ears taller, draw longer claws, and add more spiky fur tufts on the cheeks. Longer fangs help too.
