Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Head and body
Draw one big, wide, rounded shape for the body. Give it two bumps on top for the eyes with a little dip between them, and a small notch on each side where the head meets the body.
Step 3: First back leg
On one side, start at the body and draw a curve that goes out, down and around like a big bean. Bring it back to the bottom of the body.
Step 4: Second back leg
Do the same bean curve on the other side, so both legs match. Start at the body, curve out and down, then back in at the bottom.
Step 5: Two eyes
Draw a small round dot inside each top bump. Keep the dots the same size so your frog looks like it is looking at you.
Step 6: Big smile
Draw a wide, gentle curve like a smile in the middle of the body, a little below the eyes. Keep it even so your frog looks happy.
Step 7: Little toes
Along the bottom of the body, draw two short rows of tiny scallop bumps, one row on each side of the middle. Each row makes three small round toes.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a frog
- Start by lightly sketching a big oval as a guide. Then draw the body with the two eye bumps on top so the head and body flow together.
- The back legs are the trickiest part. Think of a bean shape that starts and ends on the body, and draw the second one to match the first.
- Make the toes small and the same size. Draw them as three little half circles in a row, with one row on each side of the bottom.
