How to Draw a Heart Locket (Easy Step by Step)
A heart locket is a fun first jewelry drawing because it is mostly one friendly shape. You will build it from two hearts, a small loop, two curved lines and two little rounded shapes. Once the big heart is down, everything else hangs on it like a real necklace.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The big heart
Start with a big heart in the middle of your page. Draw two round bumps at the top that meet in a small dip, then bring both sides down to a point at the bottom.
Step 3: The little heart
Draw a smaller heart in the middle of the big one. Make the same two bumps and the same pointy bottom, just tiny.
Step 4: The small loop
Right above the dip of the big heart, draw a tiny loop like a little ring. This is where the chain will pass through.
Step 5: The necklace chain
Start at the top of the little ring and draw a long line curving up and out toward the top left of the page. Do the same on the right side so the two lines make a wide V.
Step 6: The hinge
On the left side of the heart, draw a small tall rounded rectangle that touches the edge of the big heart.
Step 7: The clasp
On the right side of the heart, draw a small rounded square sticking out from the edge. This is the latch that keeps the locket closed.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a heart locket
- Draw the two top bumps of the heart the same size. Lightly mark the dip in the middle first so both sides match.
- Make the little heart in the center about one third as wide as the big one, and keep it in the middle with room all around it.
- Let the chain lines curve gently and meet right at the top of the little ring. Draw them slowly so they do not wobble.
