Step 1: Head and ears
Start on the left side and draw a curved line that goes up to a pointy ear, dips down in the middle, then rises to a second pointy ear. Let the line curve down each side to make the cheeks. Leave the bottom of the head open.
Step 2: The chubby body
Below the head, draw a curved line down the left side that bends in and then out, and finishes with a rounded bottom. Draw the right side the same way, leaving a gap at the bottom between them.
Step 3: The curly tail
On the right side, draw a curved line that starts at the bottom of the body and curls up into a small loop for the tail. Let it run along the bottom of the body to close the gap.
Step 4: Little toes
Along the bottom of the body, draw four short lines that point upward. Put the two in the middle close together and join them with a small flat line to make the front paws.
Step 5: Eyes and mouth
Draw two round filled-in dots for the eyes, with a gap between them. Between and just below them, draw a tiny wavy smile.
Step 6: Whiskers
On each cheek, draw two short whiskers that stick out sideways. Make the top one nearly straight and the bottom one tilt downward.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a ginger cat
- Draw the head wider than it is tall, so the cat looks soft and chubby.
- Make the two ears about the same size by starting both from the same height on the head.
- Draw the tail in one smooth, slow curve so the curl does not look wobbly.
