Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Candle body outline
Draw a tall shape with a flat top, two straight sides, and a bumpy, scalloped bottom. Start at the top left, go down the side, wiggle along the bottom, and come back up the other side.
Step 3: The top rim
Draw a gentle curved line across the candle just below the top edge, from the left side to the right side. It makes the candle look round.
Step 4: The flame
On top of the candle, draw a teardrop shape with the point facing up. Let the two bottom ends touch the top edge in the middle.
Step 5: The glow arc
Draw a curved arch above the flame, like a small rainbow, to show the glow of the light. Leave a little space between the arch and the flame.
Step 6: The wax drip
Near the right side, start at the rim and draw a short line straight down. Curve it into a small bend and end at the right edge of the candle, like a drip of wax.
Step 7: The happy face
Draw two small dots for eyes in the middle of the candle. Add a little curved smile between them, a bit lower.
Step 8: Top of the flower
Near the bottom of the candle, draw a bumpy, cloud-like arch from the left edge to the right edge. It is the top half of a flower.
Step 9: The first inner ring
Inside the scalloped bottom, draw a smaller wavy circle. Keep it about the same distance from the outer edge all the way around.
Step 10: The flower center
Inside the wavy circle, draw a smaller wavy circle. Then draw a tiny circle in the very middle with a dot in its center.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.
