How to Draw a Pirate Girl (Easy Step by Step)
This pirate girl is cute and simple to draw because she is mostly circles, ovals and straight lines. She has a bandana, a dark eye patch, two bumpy braids and a stripy shirt, so it feels like a real pirate costume. Start with the big head and build her up one part at a time.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: Head, face and braids
Sketch a big round shape for the head, then add one small dot eye and a little curved smile inside. Stack three small ovals down each side of the head for the braids.
Step 3: The bandana
Draw a curved band straight across the top of the head. At the right side, add a small round knot with a pointy tail that flicks out.
Step 4: The eye patch
Draw a round patch over the eye on the left and fill it in solid. Add one straight strap line from the patch up to the bandana.
Step 5: The body
Under the chin, draw a short curved line across for the neck. Then draw two straight lines down from its ends to make a small, boxy body.
Step 6: Stripy shirt
Draw three gently curved lines across the body from one side to the other. Leave even gaps between them to make stripes.
Step 7: Pants and shoes
At the bottom of the body, draw a short block for the pants on the left leg. Then draw two wide, flat ovals underneath for the shoes.
Step 8: Arms and spyglass
On the left, draw a thin, long arm down the side with a small circle for the hand at the bottom. On the right, draw a tilted tube with a couple of bands around it for the spyglass, and a small circle hand at its bottom.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a pirate girl
- Draw the three braid ovals on each side about the same size, and stack them close together so they look like a chain of beads.
- For the stripes, draw each line curving a little in the middle, like a gentle smile. That makes the body look round instead of flat.
- The spyglass is the trickiest part. Draw it as a tilted tube first, then add the little bands and a small circle for the hand.
