Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: The big bodies
Draw a big bowl-shaped curve for the left snow person's body, open at the top. Then draw a second one beside it on the right that tucks in against the first, so the two bodies lean together.
Step 3: The two heads
Draw a round curve on top of the left body for its head, leaving the bottom open. Add a second round head on the right, a little lower, so it snuggles against the first head.
Step 4: The top hat
On the right head, draw a tall tilted hat with a slightly slanted top. Add a long flat brim at the bottom and a thin band across the hat.
Step 5: Faces and scarf wrap
Give each snow person two small round eyes, a curved row of tiny dots for a smile, and a carrot nose shaped like a long rounded triangle pointing sideways toward the other friend. Then wrap a few short curved lines around the left neck for the start of a scarf.
Step 6: Scarf tail
Finish the scarf with a curved band around the left neck. Let a long strip hang down the front of the body and draw little fringe lines at the bottom of the strip.
Step 7: Twig arms
Draw a short bent line sticking out from the outer side of each snow person. Add two or three tiny forked twigs at the end of each one to make fingers.
Step 8: The hugging arm
Add a little shoulder bump on the right snow person, then draw a long thin twig arm reaching from it across the front of the body toward the other friend. End it with a round mitten that has a small thumb.
Step 9: Coal buttons
Fill in two round dots down the front of the left body. Then fill in two more round dots down the front of the right body.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing two snow people hugging
- Draw the second body tucked against the first so they lean together. Lightly sketch both bodies first and erase the part of the line that hides behind the other.
- The hugging arm is the trickiest part. Draw it as one long gentle line first, then add the mitten at the end as a small rounded shape.
- Make the two carrot noses point toward each other. That tiny detail makes the snow people look like they are really talking.

Two snow people hugging fun fact for kids
Fresh snow is mostly air. Newly fallen snow can be around 90 percent air, which is why it is so fluffy and why small animals can stay warm in tunnels under it.
