How to draw Nick Wilde from Zootopia step by step

How to Draw Nick Wilde From Zootopia · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.

  2. Step 2: The head

Start with a wide, rounded shape for the cheeks, like a soft bowl. Add two tall pointy ears on top, with a small dip between them, and a little pointed cheek on each side.

  3. Step 3: Face and tie knot

Draw a round dot for one eye on the right side. On the left, draw a little curved line for a winking eye. Add a small oval nose in the middle and a gentle smile below it. Under the chin, add a tiny knot shape for the tie.

  4. Step 4: Collar and tie

Under the chin, draw two little collar flaps that point down and out. Then draw a long tie below the knot, shaped like a skinny kite that ends in a point.

  5. Step 5: The shirt body

From each side of the collar, draw a line sloping down and out for the shoulders and short sleeves. Then add a few short dashes down each side for the body and a short line across the bottom between the legs.

  6. Step 6: Paws

At the end of each sleeve, draw a rounded mitten shape hanging down. Color them in solid black when you are done.

  7. Step 7: Boots

At the bottom, draw two chunky boots like rounded blocks, with the toes pointing outward. Fill them in with black.

  8. Step 8: The bushy tail

On the right side, draw a big curved line that starts beside the paw, swoops out to the right, and curves back down to end near the boot.

  9. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing Nick Wilde from Zootopia

  • Draw the ears as tall triangles with slightly curved sides, and keep both the same height so the head looks balanced.
  • The wink is the trickiest part, so draw the curve in one smooth line, like a tiny hill, and keep it small.
  • Draw the tie after the collar so it hangs down from the knot, and make it a little narrower at the top than the middle.
