How to draw King Boo from Mario step by step

How to Draw King Boo From Mario · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.

  2. Step 2: Body and wavy bottom

Start at the left arm and draw a stubby little arm that curls out, then go down the side and across the bottom in a wavy line like gentle ocean waves. Come up the right side and finish with a second stubby arm. Leave the top open for now.

  3. Step 3: The crown

Above the body, draw a small crown. Make a zigzag with three points and put a tiny ring on the tip of each point. Then add two short slanted lines going down from the ends of the zigzag.

  4. Step 4: The head outline

Start at the bottom of the crown and draw a big smooth curve that goes over the top like a dome. Bring it down both sides to meet the two arms.

  5. Step 5: The big eyes

Draw two round eyes in the middle of the face, side by side. Color them in solid black.

  6. Step 6: The open mouth

Between and a little below the eyes, draw a small open mouth with a flat top and a curved bottom. Add a tiny fang on the right side, then color the mouth in dark.

  7. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing King Boo from Mario

  • Start with a light oval to guide the size of the body, then draw the sides and the wavy bottom. Make the waves about the same size so he looks like he is floating.
  • The crown is the trickiest part. Draw the zigzag first, then add the three little rings on the points, and leave a small gap below it for the head to join.
  • Place the eyes level with each other and put the mouth just below and between them. Fill both eyes in dark so they pop.
