How to draw LEGO Minifigure step by step

How to Draw LEGO Minifigure · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.

  2. Step 2: The head

Draw a tall box with rounded corners for the head, like a short can. Add a curved line across the top for the flat lid, then a small rounded bump on top for the stud.

  3. Step 3: The neck

Under the head, draw a short curved line that dips down like a little bowl. This is the tiny neck that joins the head to the body.

  4. Step 4: Body and smile

Start at both sides of the neck and draw short shoulder lines going out. Draw two slightly slanted sides down to a flat line across the bottom, making a wide trapezoid. Then add a small curved smile in the middle of the head.

  5. Step 5: The arms

Draw a long curved arm on each side of the body, starting at the shoulder and ending at a short straight line for the wrist. Make both arms about the same length.

  6. Step 6: The claw hands

At the end of each arm, draw a hand shaped like the letter C, with the opening facing up and toward the body. Draw the other hand as a mirror image.

  7. Step 7: The legs

Under the body, draw a straight line for the hips. Then draw two tall rectangles side by side with a small gap in the middle, and let the bottom of each one flare out a little.

  8. Step 8: Knees and feet

Draw a straight line across both legs for the knees. Then draw another line across each leg near the bottom to mark where the foot begins.

  9. Step 9: The eyes

Draw two small solid ovals for the eyes, spaced apart in the middle of the head, just above the smile.

  10. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing LEGO Minifigure

  • The head is a tall box with rounded corners. Draw the lid curve and the small stud on top in the same step.
  • The claw hands are the trickiest part. Draw a letter C that opens up and toward the body, then copy it as a mirror image on the other side.
  • Use a ruler or the edge of a book for the hip, knee, and leg lines so they stay straight and match on both sides.
