How to draw Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory step by step

How to Draw Dexter From Dexter's Laboratory · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.

  2. Step 2: Head top and hair

Draw a big curved line for the top of the head, with a small spiky tuft of hair poking up in the middle. Bring both sides down a little way, leaving the bottom of the head open.

  3. Step 3: Ears and chin

Add a small circle on each side of the head for the ears. Then draw a curve across the bottom to make the cheeks and chin, joining the two ears.

  4. Step 4: The lab coat

Under the chin, draw the shoulders and sleeves sloping down on each side, ending in rounded hands. Then draw the straight sides of the coat down to a flat bottom hem.

  5. Step 5: Collar and center line

Draw the folded collar as two pointy flaps under the chin with a small triangle between them. Then draw one straight line down the middle of the coat.

  6. Step 6: Sleeve cuffs

Draw a short slanted line across the end of each sleeve, just above the hand, to make the cuffs.

  7. Step 7: Legs and boots

Under the coat, draw two short legs with a line across each for a sock. Then add a rounded boot at the bottom of each leg, pointing outward.

  8. Step 8: First lens and smile

On the left side of the face, draw one big circle for the glasses, with a short line coming out of its right side for the nose bridge. Add a solid dot for the eye on the right side of the face, a tiny smile below, and a short line by the right ear.

  9. Step 9: Second lens and bangs

Draw the second big circle on the right side of the face to finish the glasses. Fill in a solid dot inside the left circle, then draw a curvy swoop of bangs across the forehead.

  10. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.
