Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: Head and hair outline
Draw a big round shape for the head, starting at the left and curving up and over the top. Let the sides hang down like short hair and flick out a little at the bottom.
Step 3: The pointy ears
On top of the head, draw two tall triangle ears with slightly curved sides. Start each one on the head line, go up to a point, and come back down to the head.
Step 4: Hair edges and chin
Draw two straight lines going down inside the hair on each side of the face. Then draw a gentle curve across the bottom to join them and make the chin.
Step 5: The mask
Draw a wide mask across the middle of the face with a flat top and two little bumps. Curve the bottom edge into a soft wave so it looks like a pair of swim goggles.
Step 6: Angry eyes
Inside the mask, draw two half circles with the flat side on top, slanted down toward the nose. Color them in solid for a brave, fierce look.
Step 7: The rounded body
Under the chin, draw a short, rounded body like a soft box. Make the two sides curve down and connect them with a straight line across the bottom.
Step 8: Arms and feet
Draw a bent arm like a loop on each side of the body. Then add two little half-circle feet under the bottom line.
Step 9: The flowing cape
Start at the shoulders and draw a long line sweeping down and out on each side. Finish each side with a slightly wavy line along the bottom.
Step 10: The bat symbol
On the chest, draw a small bat with two pointy ears on top and wide wings with scalloped edges below. Add a short line across each shoulder, then fill the bat in solid.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing Batgirl
- Draw the head big and round first, so the ears and hair have plenty of room.
- Draw the ears as triangles with slightly curved sides. Make them the same height so they look like a pair.
