How to draw Alice from Alice in Wonderland step by step

How to Draw Alice From Alice in Wonderland · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.

  2. Step 2: Face and bangs

Draw the bottom of a round face: a curved chin line with a small bump on each side for the ears. Then add two short curved lines at the top of the face, leaning toward each other, for her side-swept bangs.

  3. Step 3: Hair

Draw a big curve arching over the top of the head. Then draw a second, larger curve on each side of it that sweeps down past the ears into long hair, curling in a little at the ends.

  4. Step 4: The bow

At the top of the head, draw a small bow. Make one loop on the left and one loop on the right, with a tiny knot in the middle.

  5. Step 5: Eyes, smile and collar

Draw two round dots for eyes with a tiny curved smile between them. Then, under the chin, draw a small wavy collar line.

  6. Step 6: Apron top

Below the collar, draw a small box shape with a flat bottom for the top of the apron.

  7. Step 7: Dress and sleeves

Draw a puffy sleeve curve on each side, starting near the neck and bending out to the arm. Then draw the big bell-shaped skirt flaring out with a wavy bottom edge.

  8. Step 8: The apron

Draw two lines going down from the sides of the apron top, then a straight line across the middle for the waistband. Under the waistband, draw a big U shape for the apron skirt.

  9. Step 9: Hands

At the end of each sleeve, draw a small rounded mitten shape for a hand.

  10. Step 10: Legs and shoes

Under the skirt, draw two short straight lines for each leg. Then add a rounded oval shoe at the bottom of each leg.

  11. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing Alice from Alice in Wonderland

  • Draw the face first and keep it big and round. Alice looks cute when her head is large compared to her body.
  • The long hair is the trickiest part. Draw one smooth curve on each side and let the ends curl in a little.
  • Draw the apron after the skirt, with two side lines, a straight waistband and a U shape below it. That way it stays centered.
