How to Draw Supergirl (Easy Step by Step)
Supergirl is a fun one to draw because she is built from simple shapes: a big round head, a triangle-shaped dress, and a shield badge on her chest. Once you have the head and hair, the rest fits together like building blocks. It is a great first superhero for new artists.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Hair outline
Start with a big round dome for the top of the head. Then draw the hair curving down on each side, with a little curl out at the bottom, like two soft hills.
Step 3: The face shape
Draw a wide, soft U shape inside the hair for the face and chin. Start it at the hair on one side and end it at the hair on the other side.
Step 4: The bangs
Draw two curved lines across the forehead. The left one rises to a little peak in the middle, and the right one sweeps down from the middle to the side.
Step 5: Eyes and neckline
Draw two solid round dots for the eyes, side by side. Under the chin, draw a short wavy line for the neckline.
Step 6: The dress
Start at each end of the neckline and draw a slanted line going down and a little out. Close the bottom with a gently curved line to make a dress shaped like a triangle with the top cut off.
Step 7: Arms and hands
Draw a sloping line from each shoulder down and out to the side. At the end of each one, draw a small round shape for a hand.
Step 8: Smile and shield
Under the eyes, draw a small curved smile. Then on the middle of the dress, draw a shield shape that curves down to a point at the bottom, and put a little S inside it.
Step 9: Legs and boots
Under the dress, draw two straight lines for each leg. At the bottom, draw a boot with a rounded toe pointing outward, and add a line across the top of each boot.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing Supergirl
- Draw the hair dome big and light first, then fit the face inside it. This leaves room for the long hair at the sides.
- The shield is the trickiest part. Bring both sides down in a curve to a point at the bottom, and draw the small S in the middle last.
- Keep the two legs the same height and the same distance from the middle of the dress, so Supergirl stands up straight.
