How to Draw a Wheelbarrow (Easy Step by Step)
A wheelbarrow filled with soil and flowers is a cheerful garden scene to draw. It is built from simple shapes: a tub that is wider at the top, a circle with spokes for the wheel, a dome for the dirt, and straight lines for the handles and legs. The three flowers on top are puffy five-bump shapes with a dot in the middle.

Step 1: Tub and wheel outline
Draw a flat line across the top, then slant the two sides down and inward so the tub is wider at the top. Curve the bottom corner on the right, and draw a round circle at the bottom left where the tub's bottom line meets it.
Step 2: Wheel spokes
Inside the circle, draw a tiny dot in the middle. Then draw five short lines from the dot out to the edge, like the arms of a star.
Step 3: Pile of dirt
On top of the flat line, draw a big dome, like a half circle, that starts at one end of the line and ends near the other. This is the soil piled up.
Step 4: Two handles
On the right side, draw two long slanted lines going down and away from the tub. The top one starts at the top right corner and the lower one starts a little lower on the side.
Step 5: Two legs
Draw two short lines going down. One starts at the bottom of the tub and one starts near the end of the lower handle, so the wheelbarrow can stand.
Step 6: Flower stems
Poke three short, thin lines up out of the dirt dome. Put a small dot above the top of each one to show where each flower will go.
Step 7: Flower blossoms
Draw a rounded flower shape with five soft bumps at the top of each stem, and make each stem reach up to its flower. Add a small dot in the center of each flower.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a wheelbarrow
- Draw the flat top line of the tub first, then slant the two sides inward so the bottom is narrower than the top.
- For the wheel, trace around a coin or a bottle cap to get a round circle, then draw the spokes like the arms of a star.
- Make the three flower stems different heights and tilt them a little, so the flowers look lively instead of lined up.
