Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Left side of head
Draw a big curve on the left, like a backwards C, starting near the top and bending around to the bottom. Finish with a short little line pointing down, where the neck will be.
Step 3: Shell and feet
Draw a big dome for the shell on the right, with a curved line inside it on the left. Along the bottom, add two round bumps for feet, and a little pointy tail on the right.
Step 4: The back leg
At the lower left, under the head, draw a small rounded leg that peeks out behind the shell. Make it a little curved shape that touches the neck line and the shell's bottom.
Step 5: The tall hat
Draw the top of the hat above the head. Start with two sides that lean a little, and connect them with a gently curved line across the top. Leave the bottom open.
Step 6: The hat brim
Draw a wide, flat oval around the bottom of the hat, like a ring. Let the left and right ends stick out past the hat.
Step 7: Hat band and buckle
Draw a ribbon band wrapped around the hat just above the brim. In the middle, add a small square buckle with a smaller square inside it. Then add a tiny short line under the brim to join the hat to the shell.
Step 8: A happy face
Draw one big round dot for the eye on the right. Add a small dot on the left, then a little curvy smile below them.
Step 9: The lucky shamrock
On the shell, draw three rounded leaves that meet in the middle, one on top and one on each side. Finish with a short curvy stem pointing down.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.
