How to Draw a Snowman on a Windy Day (Easy Step by Step)
A snowman with a hat and scarf is a great first drawing because it is mostly round shapes. The big body, the head, the pom-pom and the eyes are all circles or dots. The wiggly wind lines beside the nose show that this snowman is out on a breezy winter day.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The big body
Start by drawing the bottom of a big, round snowball, like a wide U shape. Leave a gap at the top where the head will sit.
Step 3: Head side and nose
On the left, draw a curved line going up for the side of the head, with a small pointy carrot nose sticking out to the left. Add a little stick arm with tiny twigs on the left of the body, a few wiggly wind lines beside the nose, and a short curved line on the right for the other side of the head.
Step 4: The cozy scarf
Draw a fat, curved band that wraps around the neck where the head meets the body. Make the edges a little bumpy, like soft wool.
Step 5: The scarf tail
Below the scarf on the left, draw a long rectangle with rounded corners hanging down over the body.
Step 6: The winter hat
Draw a curved band across the top of the head for the hat brim. Then add a rounded, floppy cap on top that leans to the right.
Step 7: The pom-pom
At the tip of the hat on the right, draw a small circle for the fluffy pom-pom.
Step 8: The right arm
On the right side, draw a short slanted line from the body up to the little twigs. Now both arms are done.
Step 9: The eyes
Draw two round dots for the eyes, side by side on the face above the nose.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a snowman on a windy day
- Draw the body first and make it bigger than the head. Then the head will sit nicely on top and look the right size.
- The scarf is the trickiest part. Draw one fat curved band first, then wiggle the edges a little instead of trying to draw each fold.
- Keep the wind lines light and wiggly, and leave a little space between them and the nose so they look like they are blowing past.
