Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Sides of the head
Draw two curved lines near the top of your paper that bulge outward, like a pair of parentheses. Leave the top open for the ears and crest, and let the bottoms angle inward toward the body.
Step 3: Body and tail
Join the bottom of the head lines with a big round chubby body, wider at the bottom. On the right side, sweep the line out and up into a curly tail, and add a small curl on the belly just above it.
Step 4: Ears and crest
Add two small rounded ears on the top corners of the head, like bunny ears. Then draw a wavy crown of little bumps between them.
Step 5: Little wings
Draw a wing on each side of the body, where the head meets the body. Make each one a rounded triangle with soft bumps along the bottom edge.
Step 6: Tail base
On the right side of the body, draw a short curved line down where the tail meets the body. It joins the tail to the tummy.
Step 7: Little arm
On the left side of the tummy, draw a small curved line like a little smile. This is the dragon's tiny arm, matching the curl on the other side.
Step 8: Eyes
Draw two big round dots in the middle of the face, with a good space between them. Color them in solid black.
Step 9: Happy smile
Between the eyes and just below them, draw a tiny wavy line. It gives your dragon a sweet little smile.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a snow dragon
- Sketch the head and body as light ovals first. If the head is a little smaller than the body, your dragon will look extra cute.
- The wings are the trickiest part. Start each one right where the head and body meet, then draw a rounded top and soft bumps along the bottom.
- Place the eyes wide apart in the middle of the face, and keep the smile tiny. This makes the dragon look sweet instead of serious.

Snow dragon fun fact for kids
Many cold places have stories about dragons that live in the mountains and snow. In Chinese tradition, dragons are linked to water, rain, and clouds, and are seen as kind helpers rather than monsters.
Questions about drawing a snow dragon
What shapes do I need to draw a snow dragon?
You need a rounded head and a big chubby body, two small rounded triangles for the wings, and two little rounded ears. A curved hook shape makes the tail.
How do I make my snow dragon look cuter?
Make the eyes big, round, and far apart, and keep the smile small. A chubby body and little wings also help a lot.
Can I draw a snow dragon without a ruler or tracing?
Yes. Every part is a soft, round shape, so wobbly lines look fine. Sketch the ovals lightly in pencil first, then draw over them.
