Step 1: Head and back line
Start near the top of the page and draw a big curve that bends out to the left for the top of the head and the face. Let it turn in at the chin, then go straight down for the front of the chest.
Step 2: Belly, leg and tail
From the bottom of the chest, draw a smooth curve across the belly. Add a rounded bump for the back foot, then sweep a long line out to the right to a pointy tail that curls up at the tip.
Step 3: The front foot
Under the chest, draw a short leg that goes down and ends in a rounded foot, like a little slipper pointing left. Close it with a curve back up to the belly.
Step 4: Back spikes
Along the curved back, draw a row of pointy bumps from the top of the head down to the tail. Make each one a little hill, big near the head and smaller toward the tail, then color them in solid.
Step 5: Two small arms
Draw a small curved arm at the side of the chest, shaped like a letter C. Then add a second U-shaped arm on the tummy.
Step 6: Eye, nose and smile
Draw a big round dot for the eye on the head and a small dot for the nose near the front of the face. Finish with a gentle curved smile under them.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.
